Ok, the UPS guy knocked on my door and I was dead asleep and could not roll myself to get out of bed because when I am asleep, I am dead to the world. (I can’t even hear a phone ring or an alarm clock go off)… so you can imagine my surprise to see two packages sitting on my terrace when I woke up and was going to go jogging.
OMG. My generous and thoughtful maryland attorney/writer/son sent me two christmas presents in the mail from my amazon wish list! OMG what a SHOCK!!!! *grins proudly* - he got me a brand new XBox game system AND he got me a flat screen computer monitor that is sooooo thin!!!! I am so so so so happy! It was completely unexpected, unearned, undeserved, and I am completely unworthy and utterly humbled. Thank you thank you thank you! *smooches and hugs and kisses*
I am completely the luckiest girl in the world. Speechless. Absolutely speechless. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I remember opening the boxes and running around the house with them in my hand, calling my sister and going - “omg omg omg guess what????” and of course it made her jealous, but I didn’t mean it to be. Tonight I am going to Sacramento, which is a 10 hour drive. I am going to spend Thanksgiving with my family, visit my cousins, aunts, and even my mom. And on Friday, I am going to Santa Cruz and will visit my dad (who I haven’t seen in like 2 years now and I miss him SOOOO bad) and will ALSO see my aunts, uncles and grandparents on my dad’s side who I haven’t seen since I was like 15 years old. So I am very excited. I should be back home on Saturday.
I will be forwarding my phone while I am in Sacramento, so you CAN catch me on Thursday when I am in my aunt’s guest house by myself, I will still be taking calls. But I will not be here Friday cause I will be with my father, and then driving a long way back.
My friend Sarah bought a plane ticket for me to spend a day and a half in Florida and I only got to spend a short time there, but it gave me a chance to see some of my friends Val and Jacob from when I lived in Florida.
