Mmmmm hey there everyone sorry for taking so long to write again in my journal, I have been a little under the weather but I am feeling much better today. Well since I have been here at Erin’s house (yup still here) I’ve decided to try to learn something new. Tony and I went to the music store at the Guitar Center and he was able to give me a nice discount since he works there. I still paid a pretty penny though… but I ended up buying a Yahama piano keyboard with 88 keys with two MIDI jacks for computer in/output, tons of beats and even dj type stuff, a 2-year warranty, tons of books on how to teach yourself how to play, a foot pedal, a piano bench. I also bought a black Fender acoustic guitar (the sound quality is tremendous) and some books on how to play chords, some see-thru purple guitar picks, a REALLY cool black guitar case with grey velvet lined in the inside, dvds and cds with instructions, a really cool chromatic guitar tuner, etc. Don’t ask me how much money I spent.

But now I am all excited because when I put my mind to something like this, I really get into it and put all my heart, soul, and emotion into it. I’ve been playing my black guitar all afternoon and have learned 8 chords now and actually sound semi-decent. I love playing…. it is a really nice relaxing outlet and it just feels so natural.

Someone once told me that you can do anything if you put your mind to something. I want so bad to play piano and guitar and this is my chance to really do it. I know it will take a lot of practice, a lot of trial and error, etc… but it is something I love with all my heart. Eventually I’d like to put some of my songs that I write to music and sing and play, then record on cd or integrate it on computer. Oooh I’d just love that!

Tony’s been helping me play guitar since he masters it and can play it with his eyes closed… been really helpful actually and very patient.

Do any of you play guitar or piano? I could use any tips or advice!
