Nothing makes me happier… than… art. I think you all know that… and well… the UPS guy came to my door today and gave me a package from Dick Blick Art and wow… I get this really nice VERY GOOD canvas 18×36 with staples on the BACK not on the side (that itself shows it’s worth) with a little note in there telling me I have 3 other bigger canvases on the way. I absolutely melted. My sweet wonderful New York hypno man who has been hopelessly devoted around my precious little finger is doing just as he promised to “make Isabella very very very happy” and you absolutely did…. your devotion will not go by unthanked and I am grateful from the bottom of my heart (thank you so much sweetie *kisses*)
So with a new canvas in store, I gotta think of what to paint/draw/create on it… and I am still clueless but I am open to suggestions.
Every now and then someone will ask me how my latest art is coming along or someone will inquire on my latest piece… I think it is so sweet that you guys ask, that shows you actually care or at least wonder what I’m up to which is so nice. The least I can do is show you some of the finished products. I’m still not a professional by any means but at least I’m getting to the point where I’m not so shy about sharing my work. Usually I just want to throw my work away cause it looks so bad. But you have all been so inspiring to me and I thank you.
I finally finished my latest cartoonish/realistic drawing of Avril Lavigne from the latest issue of Maxim. It’s a little cartoonish but that’s the look I was going for… I thought the pose she did was totally rockin’. All done in pencil.

And for those who wanted to see my latest architectural piece on bristol paper, here it is. It’s a mixture of colored pencil, marker, colored ink, and the background is all done in acrylic paint. Unlike what you may think, it is NOT cut out and pasted on dark paper. It’s actually paint in the background and a different medium over it. So it’s actually different than it looks.
