Current Wardrobe: long sleeved artsy shirt, blue jeans, pink g-string, pink bra, and some pink fuzzy slippers
Hard to believe it’s Thursday already. It seems like just yesterday was Monday night, where did all my nights go? Guess I’ve been watching too many episodes of CSI and having fun huh? lol
Just got back from work and had to slip in these comfy slippers and they feel SOO good on my feet! This week has been… eventful to say the least. I taught an art workshop today to some kids at the studio and some of their parents came to watch which was really neat because the parents thought I was pretty good. Seems so minor but sometimes getting approval from adults seems so much more satisfying. I took my camera with me and let the kids be my models for certain poses and then I let them draw themselves from the print-out photos I made for them. The look on their faces as they finished was amazing, seeing them hold up their papers and go “this me! this is me! how do I look!?”
And another little thing, seems so small but it means so much to me… I wrote a review of one of my favorite little pizzerias in my town and they’ll be publishing it in the newspaper and I’ve been hired to be a freelance photographer for the newspaper as well and will get to take photos of the restaurant staff on Saturday afternoon for publication. I’ve worked for newspapers before and had high stress behind it, but something like this where I’m just freelancing is JUST what I need. I work so much better when I can just do my job without interference.
Finally did something smart too– got renter’s insurance on my apartment. I should have gotten it a long long long time ago. I get so paranoid that something will happen - fire, earthquake, flooding, even burglary. It’s been raining constantly and with last year’s fires and the fact that San Diego is due for another earthquake soon, I’m just trying to protect what I’ve worked so hard for. At least I have peace of mind now and can fall asleep knowing I won’t be out in the dark if something happens. Peace of mind is such an underrated thing. Getting something as minor as renter’s insurance has made the biggest difference for me. I worry less about being gone so long, don’t watch the weather channel freaking out that my place might get destroyed, and can even keep my patio door open every so often.
Now if only I had a heater. Brrrr…. who says San Diego is warm?????? lol
Thanks to everyone for being so sweet and I thank you for all the calls I’ve had this week and hope to talk to you later!!! *big kisses*
Love,
Isabella
