Current Wardrobe: naked and about to conk out
Mmmm hey there everyone 
how are ya? I just got back from San Francisco - spent Saturday, Sunday, and Monday there and spent all Tuesday driving back - 15 hours (with rain, traffic, and detours) to be exact. Talk about pure exhaustion.
Annnnnyway, since SO many have you have been asking… no I won’t be moving up there. I had planned to, really wanted to, and have spent the last four days considering it but truthfully I was really unimpressed with San Francisco. There are SO many homeless people, bums without jobs or shelters - and so many of them I met can’t find places to stay or are trying to be “famous” and ended up on the streets. I’d say 1 out of every 4 people I met were homeless or LOOKED like it. I don’t want to end up like that, especially when I don’t even have a guaranteed job waiting for me there. So I won’t be moving to the bay area. It’s a nice place to visit, I met lots of interesting people in the haight/ashbury district and in the Mission and Nob Hill… even some new friends in Fisherman’s Wharf… but I can’t live there. I like San Diego so much better… I’ll still be moving but haven’t decided where exactly. Maybe somewhere locally that has cheaper rent or something. One guy I met in San Francisco says he is a grant writer and can get me a $750,000 grant for my art. Yeah. Right. Until I see the paperwork, buddy, you aren’t getting one red cent from me. It seems like EVERYONE out there is a jack-of-all-trades businessman and all out to get the quickest buck.
Spent Saturday night drunk off my ass with two hot girls I met in the Castro area, ended up making out with one girl by the pool tables but she had a boyfriend and he ended up taking her home (pouts). Listened to some live bands, checked out some bars in North Beach and one on Haight - got asked out by a few doped up men who looked like they had been smoking doobies all night, one hot guy danced with me by the dj booth and kept putting his hand up my skirt which felt really nice (oh boy it did feel good!) but when he asked if he could come to my hotel room, I just couldn’t do it. One night stands just don’t do it for me anymore. I want something real. Something tangible. And fucking some stranger while on vacation sure may feel good for an hour or so, but afterwards I’ll be so worried about getting some disease or wondering why I did it… sheesh I didn’t even know the guy’s name!
Got to visit my dad, cousin, and grandparents in Santa Cruz… yup got to see my Grandma Isabella, haven’t seen her in almost 10 years. I had missed her incredibly and it was nice to see my family again. We watched the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions with EXTREMELY hard questions and my dad got almost every single answer right. I only guessed two of em. Those were much harder than they usually are. What can I say… my dad is hooked on that show and always has been, guess nothing changes. I hope he auditions to be on it or something cause he could clean up in almost every category. I suck at it. I’d rather guess at movie trivia or something.
So I have 4 days to pack my stuff and go. Four days. Four. And I don’t know where I’m moving and I don’t have a single box packed. Sigh.

i couldn’t live there. i LOVE oakland and berkeley, but not sf proper. it’s so gentrified now it’s lost most of its charm for me. so expensive to live there, no wonder everyone’s homeless.
of course, i live in l.a., land of the expensive, home of the hideous traffic.
yeah see YOU know what I mean!! I never got to see oakland or berkeley but I’ll definitely have to go up there to visit and see some of the art places.
And L.A. don’t even get me started on that traffic…. that’s the #2 reason I won’t live there. I spend more time in traffic than I do sleeping. But man, there sure are a lot of cool things about L.A. - the celebs, the shops, the variety.
Gotta love san diego… normal traffic, lots of shops, lots of arts, and steadily getting more liberal.
