For those of you who follow my journal, I’m sure you probably remember me discussing a paper I wrote back a few weeks ago for English 101 called “Phone Sex vs. Erotic Hypnosis” and that it was a 20+ page paper and I received an unfair B- on it in class. Well the teacher gave me a chance to revise it by turning into a compare/contrast paper into an argument paper explaining the two. Anyway, the revised version is 38 pages (including attachments and footnotes, etc). Thirty-eight freaking pages.
Anyway the professor was so impressed with the paper that she asked me to autograph it in both my real name, as well as my “Isabella Valentine” persona name and said she’s holding on to it and doesn’t intend on giving it back. She said it is absolutely one of the best papers she’s read yet and said to me (and I quote), “I think you already know what grade you’re getting on it.”
That being said, I hope I hope I hoooope I get an A in the class. I neeeed an A right now. Especially after getting a B in Algebra last semester. Also she was really impressed with the “Submmercials” hypnosis commercials that my friend Melissa and I did together. I’ll be posting those soon for you all. I have to edit and splice them a little bit to conceal my identity a little more for privacy reasons (they were filmed at home) but I’ll be happy to share the finished product for you all! So I’ll be posting the videos… as well as the finished paper.
I swear… that paper… took me… foooorreeeevvveeerrrr…….. I feel like I know everything there is to know about hypnosis and I’m absolutely burned out talking about it. Seriously. The group presentation. The video. The editing. The recordings for the video for class. Over 600 subliminal messages inserted into the video. Researching it. Gah.
I took today off (Thursday) so I could relax my brain a little. I feel like I’ve been overly-hypnotizing myself lately. I’ve got so much hypnosis on the brain I almost forgot that there is a real world out there. My friends Melissa, Justin, and I went to the Corvette Diner, a 50s-themed diner in Hillcrest, and had a lovely lunch after school. That was a nice treat, a great way to end the class.
School is now officially out for the summer. I don’t know my final grade but I think this paper helped make it an “A” — I’ll keep you posted!
By the way, the editor of ESPRESSO wants me to be a featured columnist discussing hypnosis and domination in his newspaper. Keep your eyes and ears open!
