If you don’t like the prices of the recordings, speak now or forever hold your peace. You can even answer anonymously without using your name. Just comment below. But if you don’t answer, I won’t change anything.
Ok I’ve been pondering the idea of possibly changing the prices of my recordings but not sure if it’s something I should do or if I do, what would be a good price? Right now hypnosis recordings are priced at $50 for approximately 25-25 minutes worth of intense vocals, backgrounds, overlays, subliminal messages, etc. And fetish recordings are usually $30-40 for approximately 10-15 minutes of vocals with occasional sound effects involved.
The cost of a live phone sex call is $2.69 a minute. The cost of a live hypnosis call is $2.99 a minute. So obviously the listener is getting an incredible deal by getting a hypnosis recording at that price because he can listen to it multiple times (as many times as he wants) for just one price. Plus there are things done in a recording that I just can’t do in a live session, which in my opinion - make it better… great sound effects, whisper tracks, tunneling, echoes, hypnosis-style sounds, spirals, subliminal overlaying layers, etc.
Now on ebay when auctioning for one of my hypno recordings, many of my callers who tend to have “tight budgets” usually cap their spending limits around $21-$26 for a hypnosis recording. Sometimes they might go into the thirties, but rarely.
I currently have no problem getting people to pay $50 for hypnosis recordings. They sell all the time - and I do mean all the time. However, the greed in me thinks that if I considered lowering the price, would I make more money overall? Or would it lower the “expectation of quality” of the work involved?
When I first started selling recordings, I started off charging $100 per recording and people paid it no problem. But when I dropped the price in half, my income tripled and I was shocked! It’s gotten to the point now where I have more than enough recordings that I have a variety and many guys feel there are too many to choose from — so why not make them even less money?
Here’s where I’m contemplating:
* The last time I lowered my prices, people wrote me letters COMPLAINING that I lowered my prices and said things like: “It’s not fair that I paid $100 for a recording just this week but everyone else gets it for $50! How can you lower it like that? That’s not right?!”
I really don’t want to deal with people like that. And I don’t want to deal with people demanding special treatment for previously purchasing lots of stuff cause truth of the matter is a LOT of people purchase a LOT of stuff and well… everyone is special to me. But I can’t give it all away free cause then I’ll go broke and I have a mortgage to pay. Your Goddess has to eat too!
* What is a decent price? $35 a recording? $29.99 a recording? $19.99 per recording?
* What about non-hypnosis recordings? What are you willing to pay? Keep in mind that Niteflirt takes 30% of my earnings so keep that in mind when naming a price. I am not currently set up to take any other payment processor so please don’t mention that (I get letters like that every single day - sorry right now it’s just niteflirt).
* If I lower the price too much, will I even make a profit? Will I spend more time creating the recording than making money off of it? I spend nearly 10-15 hours creating just one thirty minute intense hypnosis recording. If that time were done on the telephone, I would have made at least $1,000 that day.
* Unfortunately, the system is not set up to do any discounts or “packages” such as buy one get one free or whatever… so having “sales” like that don’t work. I wish it did though! Plus it is too much work for me since I have over 12 websites to maintain plus 3 weekly auction sites to update too.
* I’m not giving my stuff away for free. Suggesting it only insults me. It annoys me when people come up to me and say “So and so does hypnosis for free so why don’t you?” — Well go to their site then.
* I know this might sound mean but I’m going to say it. One reason why my prices are so high is because it brings out the good guys. The nicer, sweeter guys tend to spend more money in this line of work - at least in my experience in this line of work. The less money I would charge for my service as a phone sex operator, the “cheaper” they treated me. It almost seemed as though the less money I charged, the more they would demand, would call me a whore, or a slut, or whatever they deemed appropriate at the time. However, the more I charged, the more I could DEMAND - the more respect I commanded, the more I could turn clients away for being rude or disrespectful, etc. Now I understand that money doesn’t grow on trees and not everyone has money, which is one reason why I’m considering the price changes right now. I just think pricing them TOO low might hurt me in the long run cause when guys are horny, they think with their dicks not with their brains and if they paid a cheap price they might associate that with a cheap service, which I am not. If anything, I am one of the higher-end of the phone sex line which costs more and in turn, pulls a more generous traffic client list. Most of my clients are generous men who are not in a hurry, not rushed, and are in the mood to spend money on me. That’s the way I like it. So sue me.
If people don’t answer then I’ll leave the prices the way they are.
I may not change them at all — I’m just curious what people say. Right now Niteflirt is fixing a bug in the system that will be fixed at the end of the week (so they say) and when that is done, then I will be able to change prices if I choose to. Until then, I will be unable to do so.
Let me know what you think - or don’t…
Love
Isabella Valentine
