So a few days ago, the Terminix guy was here to do a regular maintenance spray and he was checking my doors and basically said to me, “Someone can break into your house really easy if they wanted to.” And at first I thought he was kidding, you know? (And backing up my harddrive in a safe place) OMG.

Anyway, to keep a long story short… I went to Lowe’s and bought some wood and weather stripping and stuff. It was kind of funny watching me, because I had to take a saw and saw the wood to make it fit to jam into the door, then I had to hammer it against the door frame, measure it properly, sand it down with a sander, then weather strip the door to keep unwanted bugs out and keep the air out. I really felt like a “handyman” … well … a “handywoman” — it was an experience all right.

Needless to say, it kinda freaked me out. I also bought some “Beware of the Dog” signs. One for the back door and one for the front window (preventative measure). Hey, I live alone and I’m single! A girl’s gotta do something!!!

So Mistress Gwen and slave m were here for a couple days which was a REAL treat! I had missed them SO much!! We used to hang out all the time back in San Diego, so seeing them here in Indana really was wonderful and brought back old memories!
