Woohoo today I have officially lost 75 pounds! yay! That means I’ve lost exactly the same amount of pounds as Kirstie Alley. Wow. That’s equivalent to losing the same amount of weight as well… a kindergarten child + a laptop + a laptop carrying case + a cell phone + a fully loaded purse! That’s also equivalent to…. 300 sticks of butter wow. That’s how much I lost. Woah. To think I’ve lost 300 sticks of butter. That’s insane. And I’ve lost approx 40 inches or so (it’s not accurate, it’s actually more than that, but the girls who measure me often mess it up). So like…. 40 inches… that’s more than 3 feet. I’ve lost three fucking FEET off my body. It’s so hard to fathom. I am so …. wow. Speechless. Proud. Happy. Thrilled.
I have 131 more pounds to lose, but I am well on my way. In exactly 28 more pounds, I will be HALFWAY to my goal weight. I have been trying SO SO SO SO hard to get to my halfway mark. I am SO close to that halfway point now. Wow I can almost feel it now. This is so exciting!!!

PS: In England, we measure weight in stone. There are 14 pounds to the stone, so when you dipped under 280 pounds, you fell below 20 stone. That is a very significant marker of achievement over here.
oh wow I didn’t know it was 14 pounds per stone. I was always wondering that. Especially since I watch boxing a lot and one of my favorite boxers is british and they were always saying his weight in stone. I mean, I knew his weight in pounds because sometimes they americanized it for people like me on tv, but I didn’t know the conversion rate.
So let’s see… in stone, I would be… 18.64 stone right now. And well, when I get to my halfway point, I will be exactly 16 stone! Yay! That’s really cool, I can remember that
wow it just occured to me….
I will have gone from 24 stone to 16 stone and I’m only about 2-3 months away from that goal.

PS: In England, we avoid decimals like the plague. Mainland Europe has been fighting us in the European courts, etc, to compel us to use decimals, but we still use our traditional feet and inches, and stone and pounds, etc. Therefore, we would never say 18.64 stone. We would say 18 stone 9, just as we would say 5 feet 6.

This might sound corny, but it really goes to show that if you believe something is possible and get busy on the goal, the roadblocks to reaching the result get increasingly distant.
