Yay, I’ve now lost 107 pounds! I FINALLY have less than 3-digits of weight to go! Only 99 more pounds to lose until I get to a healthy weight. 99. Ninety-nine. That’s so much quicker to say than two-hundred and six. Funny thing is, even though I think I look sexy and healthy already, Blue Cross and Blue Shield still won’t cover me and still considers me morbidly obese. I’m using Alliance now but I’m not too crazy about them. But anyway, here’s today’s photo - a full-length one.
Now I can sing 99-bottles of beer on the wall… and imagine it’s my weight passing before my very eyes. This is kinda cool.

P.S. Inraptured will be down yet again for a couple days while it gets moved to a VPS server. Apparently it eats up too much CPU with a shared server and requires its own. I think Blue Cross/Blue Shield is just fucking with you now, because I’ve been covered by them at a higher weight than what you are now. And my friend who currently weighs over 300 lbs. is covered by them. Is there something else you are a risk for that could be compounding the problem?
Congratulations! I remember crying the day that I dropped below 300…don’t know that there’s any better feeling than achieving milestones in weight loss.

the only way BC/BS will cover someone who is morbidly obese, is if they are on group insurance or have a spouse who has a job with group insurance.
The issue is that I am self-employed and would be in the individual plan. I had a whole journal entry devoted to insurance a while back (if I’m not mistaken, it’s friends only, so you may be able to find it)… but at that period of time I called soooo many insurance companies and got turned down. Only one accepted me.

I was on the individual plan as well, and I weighed about 250 at the time. It was right after Andy and Drew decided to buy Flanagan’s, neither of us had insurance so he and I got an individual plan for us because the bar didn’t have insurance. A guy came to the house and did all the paper work with us, I got a dental plan as well because I intended to get my wisdom teeth removed that year.
Maybe they were just being nice to me or something.

I think I’ll cry when I get under 200… I’m actually aggravated because for the last 3 months I’ve sort of reached what feels like a plateau. A part of it is because I stopped taking my OCD medication cause I felt I “self-healed” through help of hypnosis and nlp… and by quitting all the meds cold-turkey, I started eating a lot more. My body is still trying to adjust to the change, because the OCD meds made me less hungry. Without any medicine, I’m relying solely on myself. It’s been a struggle since July. I won’t lie.
Congrats on getting below 300! It felt so good when I first reached 299.9 and was able to get out of the 300s.

All of us freaks sometimes feel that way, but just remember that good makeup and good hair sometimes help bring out our best features. Gender is irrelevant. The only “freak in a bad way” in any of us is only a lack of self-acceptance. And you’re worth accepting because you are a good person. Just remember that the world can sometimes be full of jerks and asses, but when it boils down to it - you’re stuck with you. So you better learn to like what you’ve got or you’ll always be miserable.
