Government

Today  I went to the Student Union at Indiana University and stood in line for, I counted: 69 minutes. Why, you may ask? Well to vote, of course. Why else would I voluntarily stand for over in an hour in ANY line other than perhaps, a line to achieve “divine wisdom” or to touch a highly dense and concentrated version of “God.” So I voted early. My ballot has been cast. I’m rather proud, on some level, because this was the first time I’ve ever voted in a primary election. Ever since I was 18 years old, I’ve been proud to vote in general elections and casting my vote is a pretty damn big deal.

I’m sure you would agree that voting is pretty important, don’t you? After all, if things worsen in your country and you never voted, you certainly have no right to complain about the current situation. It seems that some people in this country just don’t care about voting, which I understand to some degree. My dad hates voting because he says, “All the politicians are evil. It’s like voting for the best of the worst.” But at least he votes so he has a right to make a difference. I found out this morning that my roommate isn’t registered to vote. She’s been eligible for six years. How is this possible? The very year I turned 18, one of the first things I did after my birthday was register. At first I thought registering would be time consuming or whatever, but it only involved filling out my name, address, email and giving it to a person at a table. How easy is that? And out here in Indiana, they make registering even easier because they give you the option to register to vote while obtaining a new drivers license… or even renewing one at the drivers license office. There really are no excuses for not being registered to vote. I highly urge anyone reading this to PLEASE register to vote. Just go online and type in “voter registration” + “your-state-here” to find out how to register in your state. It’s very important that you do this because there are DEADLINES on when you can vote for certain elections. The deadline to register to vote within the primary election is already over. But people can still register to vote for the general presidential election, which is uber meaningful.

After voting, I went to the National Economic Forum, a televised conference, where General Tony McPeak and bama’s Senior Foreign Policy Advisor Denis McDonough discussed Obama’s plans with foreign relations. There were some not-so-heavily-weighted questions from some of the audience, while others asked questions *I* would have asked, regarding national security and foreign policy. One question I liked was about the paid contractors/mercenaries sent off to Iraq who are doing acts of war crimes and getting away it because they are not expected to submit to the high standards that the military does. The answer involved making it stop. I like that. Questions asked. Real answers. That’s one thing I respect about the Obama and his campaign staff. They don’t “walk around the questions” and phrase things just to please people. They answer strongly and forthright, which is a trait all candidates should follow.

Today I sat in on Obama’s campaign, but he wasn’t physically there (he was in another Indiana city though).  Rumor has it that he is expected to visit Bloomington before May 6.

To be fair to all candidates coming to Bloomington, tomorrow morning, I’ll go to Town Hall and see Hillary Clinton. Although I have already cast my primary vote for Obama, I still feel compelled to hear Hillary speak so I can ask her some questions about animal rights. Speaking of animal rights, I did NOT get the opportunity to ask Obama’s advisor about animal rights because I felt the time and place wasn’t appropriate to bring that up as a topic of discussion. However when the meeting ended, I walked up to Obama’s field manager/director guy who is on staff and can relay information back to Obama and gave him my name and email address along with a basic question involving legislation and improved animal rights to prevent animal cruelty. I am currently awaiting a response and am confident that my question will one day end up in Obama’s hands.

It’s hard for me to decide which candidate to vote for when the general election comes up, because frankly, NONE of the candidates have spoken up about animal rights and it frustrates me. They either don’t care or it’s so far down the priority list that they feel if they speak up about it no one will listen. WE WILL LISTEN. Some of us actually care about animal rights. Some of us actually DON’T want to eat tortured food. Some of us actually CARE about anti-torture laws involving animals. The problem with animal-cruelty is that it is much worse than extreme “home abuse” cases. It’s a global epidemic. Animal cruelty happens so much that people just don’t seem to care.

I’m sure you may already know that almost every time you eat salmon, the fish starved for 10 days, are sliced open and gutted while still conscious, lived in feces infested tanks in space with 50,000 other fish with so little space, it’s equivalent to putting 27 foot-long fish into the size of your bathtub and forcing them to live there for years. There should be government-regulated legislation that prevents fish farms from being over-populated, under-nourished, abused and neglected.

And you probably know better than anyone that cows are so mistreated that much of the beef is diseased to due neglect and abuse. Just this year, 143 million pounds of beef were recalled by the USDA. That’s a LOT of beef. Why did the recall it? Because they were packaging beef that came from lame, sick, and abused cows. Why would anyone want to eat something filled with mucus, disease, and dangerous toxins? Cows often have their testicles sliced off while they’re screaming, have their horns pulled off their heads while they are still conscious, have their bodies branded with prods that are thousands of degrees in temperature until smoke is coming off their bodies and they are screaming hysterically. Often times, they are gutted alive, have their eyeballs gouged out by human thumbs, or have the skin on their legs sliced open while they are standing up simply so they won’t run away. How sick is that? I want this to change. We need new legislation in this country to prevent this from happening. I’m sure any intelligent human being would agree that animals shouldn’t be tortured and mutilated while they are still alive and conscious.

And perhaps you already know that pigs are tortured every day for things like bacon, sausage, and hot dogs. Sure, many people enjoy the taste of those products, but many people just don’t care how those products were obtained. Did you know that pigs have their balls cut off while they are still screaming and conscious? That they are often put in pens where they have little room to move. In fact, they have so little room to move (whether in cages or big giant shared pens), that they have hardly any room to lie down, turn around, and NO room to run or enjoy the social things animals need to remain healthy. Many of them go crazy or insane in those cages out of pure boredom. Then they are tortured and mutilated in horrible ways while still conscious, before finally dying and being sent the assembly line. If people are going to be allowed to kill animal, then there should be enforceable LAWS that prevent the outright abuse, neglect, and torture of the animals. Animals in agricultural farms deserve the SAME RIGHTS as animals that people have as pets. I’m not against the killing of animals. I am against the torture of animals. There are alternative methods we can use to prevent this from happening.

And we all know that chickens get some of the worst of the treatment. Their beaks are burned at thousands-of-degrees of temperature while still conscious. They often live in feces-infested cages with thousands of other chickens where they have no pecking order or social stimuli. They are slung by the handful into metal trucks, their bodies forcefully flung by their wings or their feet where their bodies slam into the truck, often times causing injury and death. They are put on assembly lines with water so they are electrocuted and paralyzed to prevent them from running away, but they still feel everything. They still feel all the pain. They are still conscious and their wings are still flapping when they get sent to the throat slicer. The throat slicer goes so fast that it doesn’t take the time to make sure the chickens’ throats have been sliced all the way before sending them down the assembly line. Almost always, the animal is still alive and kicking after having its neck sliced. Then it gets sent into hot, scalding water…. boiling water… while still alive…. so the chicken can be de-feathered. Isn’t that some sick shit? Those kicking chickens are forcibly put into boiling water with their open throats gashed open… they’re flapping trying to get out… and the machines are too shallow to allow drowning. Those that survive the torture of being boiled alive, get gutted… alive. Deskinned and gashed open while still feeling all the pain, still feeling all the torture… and being powerless to stop it. WHO WILL BE THE VOICES FOR THESE ANIMALS? There are alternative methods we could be using instead, such as using controlled-atmosphere-killing (CAK) which involves the painless killing of 400+ chickens within an odorless gas environment. The cost is relatively cheap, given context of how many animals it could terminate at one time in as littler as 30 seconds. WE NEED TO USE THESE ALTERNATIVES. I urge any of you reading this to PLEASE use your voice for animal rights in this upcoming election. Get involved. We need to speak up for these crying, tortured animals. Those who are strong in compassion, please make the stance that we, as Americans, ARE INTERESTED in knowing how the candidates stand on the issue of animal rights.

For those of you who have to “see it to believe it,” I DARE you to watch these sick videos. My stomach can’t handle it.

I care about animal rights. Will you care about them too?

Presidential nominees

I suspect that this blog entry may turn some people away, and if so, so be it. However, I take pride in treating my blog as a personal diary, not just a commercial venue. So I’m about to discuss a political matter and if it’s not something you care to read… be forewarned the contents within contain personal political opinions.

This week Barack Obama came to my state of Indiana and spoke at a highschool. I didn’t go cause I didn’t hear any news about it until AFTER the fact. I really would have liked to hear him speak in person. I’ve been impressed with some of the video speeches on his site and want to listen as an audience member. Also later this week (tomorrow I think is the official day), Hillary Clinton will come to Indiana as well and so far I haven’t found any announcements made regarding when and where she will be speaking. I’d really like to know! It’s not even on her website, yet she has a banner saying “Indiana for Hillary.” - hmmm…

Anyway, I try to stay away from politics in my blog for obvious reasons, however the reason I’m writing is because Bill Clinton, politicians, and several newscasters have stated that if Hillary wins Indiana, SHE will be the next president. If Obama wins Indiana, HE could be the next president.

Who would have thought that this would all boil down to Indiana? And it’s where I live!

I’m still undecided though. All candidates (even McCain) have many positive qualities as well as some negative ones. Frankly, I’m disappointed that none of them have tackled the issues of animal rights or anti-torture in the food business. One reason I wanted to go to hear them live is because many times, they take questions from the audience and will answer it on the spot. I want to know how they feel about the issue of animal rights. Do they have any provisions to regulate or prevent the current animal cruelty going on right now? All I know is that Hillary (in the past) has backed up organizations that utilized animal cruelty. In fact, she’s often been nicknamed “Hen-Heck Hillary” due to her downright ignorance of what happens to animals. And Obama has flat-out supported hunting and gaming and wants to designate government-funded hunting areas, which as you know, involves the shooting and hurting of animals - many of whom don’t die with just one shot. I don’t know McCain’s stance on this - I just know that I disagree with his support of the war. All three of those candidates have a lot they could offer the country… but at this point, I THINK I’m leaning toward Obama. I keep changing my mind, because many times I’ll hear a new speech from someone that will make me lean towards or away from them, depending on the content. Why doesn’t anyone care about animal rights? Why don’t politicians find it important? I’ve written all three camps personal letters asking for their opinions on this matter in hopes that they’ll AT LEAST make a public statement regarding their position, but so far… nothing from their corners but silence.

Animal rights are important. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… it’s NOT that I’m against the killing of animals. I’m against the TORTURE of animals. No one, whether human or animal, should ever be tortured - whether for food, fashion, or furniture. It’s disgusting that politicians haven’t so much as batted an eyelash to this crucial issue.

As far as health care goes, both Obama and Clinton have fabulous options. Personally, I’m ok with either health care plan AS LONG AS people can be automatically covered, especially those with pre-existing conditions. I remember when I weighed my heaviest, topping over 300 lbs, many health insurance companies wouldn’t cover me. And many of my friends have health problems which often go untreated due to their lack of health insurance. It breaks my heart that pre-existing conditions aren’t covered. If EITHER candidate supports a health insurance program or can begin a mandated regulation that requires insurance companies to accept EVERYBODY, then count me in. I know Clinton is for forcing the health care issue, and in my shoes, think it’s a fabulous idea. However, there are millions of financially challenged people who aren’t nearly as fortunate to afford such a thing. So that leave’s Obama. Can he lead America to really change the current situation? Maybe. Maybe not. He keeps talking about change, change, change. I like action, not words. And often times, politicians say all the things they need to say to get likability and win popularity contests, but when push comes to shove, will they be able to do what they promised?

It all boils down to our state in Indiana. If the decision would be left up to ME, I’m about as split in the middle as the rest of the world. I mean sure, who WOULDN’T want a DOMINANT WOMAN as president? If Hillary won, I’d be ecstatic just cause she’s a woman and women rule. But this isn’t a race about gender. And who WOULDN’T want an INTELLIGENT, CHARMING MAN to be president… sure much better than the idiot we have in office right now. And McCain has a positive side too, if you discount the fact he’s older than my grandfather and he has a violent temper tantrum. McCain was one of those cool congressmen who would often vote bipartisanly and was one of the 7 split vote guys. That shows he doesn’t just vote based on party lines. However, that alone isn’t enough to make someone fit to be president. So much more is involved and many of the issues he tackles are just off base. I am WAITING to see if any of the candidates will speak out against animal cruelty. When or if they do, they’ll have my vote. Until then, I’m disappointed in all of them and don’t see the point of voting at all. I’ve voted in every election since my 18th birthday, and this year I’d like to do it again, but I need to know I’ve made the right choice.

So are the days of our lives

Instead of writing a bunch of paragraphs, I thought it would be more time efficient (this time) to simply bullet the stuff going on right now.

Stuff:
* I’ve been reading a lot of Rumi’s poetry, find it very uplifting
* Trying to understand more about chakras, bought a few books - hoping it will shed some light
* Saving up for two trips: Las Vegas (March or April to visit friends and do real estate hunting) and Idaho (May - to visit my aunt and family)
* Been playing “Fable” on Xbox and am a level 4 barbarian (evil) who just got in one of the demon doors (finally)
* Got to experience the Wii (I think the game was Mario Party) with some friends at my place for the first time (neat device!)
* New mail arrived: 30 new and used books and dvds from half.com - I love how inexpensive the stuff is! Book topics range from: Male-female gender sexuality, new age energy, computer stuff and seo books, and a ton of new stuff.
* Between 5am-7am when I’m still awake from the night before… I find it’s too late at night for soft porn movies on Skinemax and too early for sexy-clad feminine heroes on tv shows, I find that I masturbate quite well to aerobics and weight loss infommercials. Nothing screams motivation and sex than some hottie in spandex shorts squatting and doing splits, while telling the world she lost over a hundred pounds.

Challenges:
* Trying to find a perfect keychain with no luck. I want something that resembles: goddess, hypnotist, lesbian, vegan/animal-lover, oneness/new age. If possible, I’d like one custom made but am unsure how to go about doing so. I’m a bit aggravated that my current keychain still says “Chevrolet” from the key they give you at the car dealership. I’ve often heard it said that you can tell a lot about a person by their keychains. I need help in this department. Any advice would be much appreciated (or even better if you are great at crafting metal and making a design! - wishful thinking).

* Maintaining a vegan diet is a bit frustrating because I’m craving *real* cheese (and sometimes eggs too) like crazy. My favorite vegan cheese is being discontinued and I’m savoring it while I can, but I miss colby cheese. Believe it or not, I have dreams almost nightly where I imagine myself eating a cheddar cheese omelet. I can almost picture it melting in my mouth and I get this incredible orgasm. Sometimes I rub my pussy with a vibrator and imagine eating a cheese omelet and get soooo incredibly wet. There are 0% meat cravings. I actually get nauseas just smelling meat (and many times just looking at it). Without trying to sound gross, looking at meat at a grocery store actually reminds me of a human slaughterhouse out of a horror movie.

* If you hate radical animal-rights activists, then you’re going to hate me for saying this. I’m fucking annoyed that in the video game “Fable” (which I love), there are options where you can kick a chicken as hard as you can. The object is to score a 10. I kicked one on accident and scored a 4 and was shocked. What kind of world do we live in where even in video games - people are encouraged to abuse animals? It was sickening. Even the sound of the chicken being kicked made me want to hurl. I actually got so upset that I turned my video game character “evil” instead of “good” early in the game and went around beating up the children, killing the guards, and became quite the serial killer. That’s what people get for kicking the chicken. As far as I’m concerned (in video game lingo) - all those motherfucking humans can die. Save the animals! On another note, it did get rid of a lot of built-up aggression. It wasn’t quite as great a relief as boxing the bag in the basement or punching someone in real life, but still - a nice alternative.

Yeah - I life a pretty simple life, huh?

It still surprises me that people continually say, “I’ve been following your journal for x amount of years!” And my first instinct, although I don’t say it aloud, is usually, “Why? (Specifically)…”

Day 10

This is successful Day #10 of Vegan eating lifestyle. I doubt anyone reading my journal is counting the days, but I am. According to the writers of “Skinny Bitch” - if I can get through the first 28 days of this without going out of my mind, then I can do this easily for the rest of my life. So I’m giving it my best shot, which I WANT to do and WILL DO.

The only thing that SUCKS ASS about this new way of eating is that I’ve now gained 7 pounds (in just 10 days!!!!). NOT COOL. My total body fat percentage went up 2%. (Up two WHOLE percentage points in just 10 days!) My water weight is the same. I’m frustrated that I’ve no longer lost 100 pounds, and I’m back in the 90s. I called Jenny Craig today to schedule a consultation so they can help me figure out the proper amount of starches, fats, “meats” (substitutes), etc. so that I can create my OWN menu and still continue losing the weight.

I never really took it into consideration that I had been on JC for so long, that I took for granted how wonderful the perfectly-portioned plans had become. Now that I’m making my own portions, I have a feeling I’m not eating the right amounts of this healthy food (even though it appears right to me). I’m not afraid to ask for help when it comes to this. I’m humble enough to admit that I need guidance when it comes to the weight thing. It is helpful that I’m a hypnotist and have controlled the way I eat and exercise for over a year, however now that my eating lifestyle has dramatically changed (literally, overnight) I can use all the assistance I can get to push me back on track.

Holidays
Slave maurice is coming to stay with me from Dec. 21st until Jan. 3rd. We’ll be spending Christmas and New Years holidays together, which will be nice. We’ll take a road trip to Times Square in NYC to watch the ball go down for New Years Eve. We’ll probably get a hotel and stay overnight and then drive back home. If any of you will be in NYC for New Years Eve/New Years Day, perhaps we can hook up or hang out and party or something. I watched the ball go down January 1998 which was the year I graduated high school as a senior. This year, 2008 is my ten year class reunion, so this is a very special time for me to revisit Times Square and watch the ball go down as I make my personal goals for the NEXT ten years. This is a very sentimental date for me (new years eve) and I can remember where I was *every year* for New Years. This year, I have to head back to NYC.

A potential live-in male slave (for now, I’ll refer to him simply as “slave” since I haven’t decided to accept him into my household yet. When or if I do, I’ll name him appropriately), may come to visit me sometime in December as well. So it looks like I may have two male slaves overlapping near the same time, which suits me just fine. The more slaves to worship me, the merrier. This slave has started a journal, which he really didn’t want to do, but I commanded him to so I could see how obedient he could be. The first few days, I was lenient and considered it a request. But Dec. 5th was when I made daily journal-writing a command. For every day he misses (starting Dec. 5), he accumulates ten cane strikes. So far he’s earned 20 strokes of the cane. Either he will really enjoy a lot of pain or else he’s just being disrespectful. You tell me. His journal is here: . Keep an eye out, will ya?

Niteflirt
I’m confused. I could be wrong, but I assume the MORE customers who vouch for a flirt’s work, the more new clients she’ll reel in to her. That being said, I spontaneously decided to read other flirts’ feedback on Niteflirt only to discover that some of them pride themselves on just having one or two “main customers” who write all their feedback. I’m confused how that could be a good thing for anyone. Wouldn’t it be MORE profitable to have hundreds or thousands of devotees or worshippers than just one or two? I’m so grateful that thousands of little fish have vouched for me, instead of depending on one or two whales. I really, truly am honored. Thank you all for your support and for your honest feedback about my work. In the past, I had one very loyal client who would generously write tons of feedback for me every week after our calls (as a sign of devotion), but it hurt my sales because he wrote so much feedback that other clients felt non-existent. It became obvious to other clients that I had a “favorite” and even worse, new clients had no credible way to vouch for me other than by hearing 70 versions of ONE PERSON’S opinion. Eventually, I politely asked him to stop leaving me feedback (even though he spent thousands of dollars a week on me) and my profits began to improve. If I’m doing this all wrong and need to bribe people to “pad” my feedback by hypnotizing them, by all means - tell me! Is it better to have one person really really LOVE a person and they talk about them all the time — or is it better to have a thousand people who claim to LOVE a person and they talk about them sometimes? I suppose both can be good in different situations.

Politics
If you don’t want to hear my opinion on politics, skip this part.

I’m torn between two candidates. I won’t say which ones, cause the point is irrelevant. The problem is I want to know which of the two candidates sees animal cruelty as a serious problem. I’ve found many references to human rights, but very little in relation to animal rights. There is little to no information on these candidates regarding this, which bothers me. It seems that the topic of animal rights is never even on the agenda of topics to speak about. That sucks, considering the Dept. of Agriculture oversees a food industry that profits billions of dollars a year. Hell yeah we should be talking about it. I hate that candidates have completely ignored this topic within their debates. It upsets me and I don’t like to be upset. How can people in leadership positions not care about the hardcore killing and torture of animals in OUR OWN COUNTRY?

We always hear about the horrible treatment of people and animals in China (don’t get me started), but we have yet to fix our own problems here. We claim to be the land of opportunity and yet we are our own villains. China horribly tortures Falun Gong practitioners inside “six ten” offices by doing unspeakable torturous acts to them covered up by “unexplained disappearances”. Yet we do it ourselves: look at Guantanamo Bay and it’s disgusting human rights violations. We don’t call them prisoners. We call them detainees so we can get away with torturing them for years without a trial (even if just religious rights abuses and degradation).

We point fingers at China for mistreating their foxes because they skin the animals (alive!) and hang them upside down while bludgeoning them to death (Watch this sick video)… and practically EVERYTHING we have is imported from China, so we support their methods of torture every time we buy something from them. Here in America, the government supports the idea that foxes can be in tiny cages where they literally go insane turning them stir-crazy, are fed other foxes (cannablism), spend sometimes 5 weeks without water, and then we electrocute them up their anus (sometimes more than once) until they die. And this video is somehow MORE humane? And our government SUPPORTS THIS! *blink*

I’m sickened. Absolutely sickened by our country’s hypocrisy.

P.S. Fifty Cent is my hero. He has a strip club and a Playboy-style pool grotto in his mansion. When I make that kind of money, my house will have them too. A strip club! At home! Not just a strip pole, but a WHOLE CLUB! Imagine this: You wake up, eat breakfast, and think to yourself, “I’m bored. Hmm do I want to watch tv? No I think I’ll go in the strip club room and see all my groupies who are here almost every night.” Oh yeah… that’s the life.
